The front screen gets all the attention, but the glass on the back of your phone cracks just as easily, usually from a drop that lands face-up. It looks bad, it can catch your fingers, and on some phones it sits right over the cameras and wireless charging coil. The good news is it is very fixable, and there is a right way and a risky way to do it.
Why back glass is tricky to replace
On most modern phones the rear glass is bonded to the frame with strong adhesive, and often the wireless charging coil, camera surround and other parts sit on top of it. To swap the glass, that old panel has to come off cleanly without disturbing everything around it. Get it wrong and you can damage the very parts you were trying to protect.
The problem with the heat-gun method
The quick, cheap way many shops use is to heat the whole back of the phone with a heat gun to soften the adhesive, then scrape and pick the glass out shard by shard. The trouble is that all that heat travels straight through to the battery, the cameras and the delicate ribbon cables inside. Too much heat is one of the worst things for a phone, it can swell a battery, cloud a camera or weaken components, and the scraping risks scratches and cuts to nearby parts.
Our heat-free laser method
We remove cracked back glass with a laser instead of a heat gun. The laser precisely breaks down the adhesive holding the glass in place, so the old panel lifts away cleanly with no scraping and, crucially, no heat damage to the battery, cameras or internals. It is faster, far tidier, and much kinder to the rest of your phone. Once the old glass is off, we fit a fresh panel so your phone looks and feels like new again.
